Clinical Lead for Digital Health and Care: Scottish Government
Between 2013-2015, I co-founded and chaired the National Nursing, Midwifery and Allied Health Professions eHealth Network. In 2015, I began working with colleagues at the Scottish Government as part of the clinical team providing strategic advice particularly on NMAHP issues and supporting clinicians develop their digital practice. For the network to flourish, it's vital that we work with and understand the needs, challenges and preferences of front line clinicians and managers and the public we serve
More information about this work can be found here We also support a masters level national NMAHP Digital leadership programmerun by NHS Education Scotland - so far this has been completed by over 180 NMAHPs and TEC leads
The Scottish NMAHP Digital Health and Care Network
I'm very proud of this network and the work it's doing to innovate around and mainstream digital solutions in health and care settings. Since it was formed, it's fair to say, it has gone from strength to strength - it now has over 450 registered members and a designated nurse, midwife and AHP in every NHS board in Scotland and other agencies i.e. special boards, third sector, social care
